Style Inspo: Collins Badewa of Something Off My Rack

Shefancysthat caught up with Collins earlier in the week and we talked about everything fashion! It was such an interesting conversation and I took along with me the fact that I needed to steal his bomber jacket along with all the advice he’s gathered for a startup blog like mine. The 19 year old blogger hails from Osun state, Nigeria and officially started blogging in 2015 although he wasn’t taking it as seriously. The blog at first consisted of general fashion and trend advice and seldom any mention of his personal style and in addition he says he was quite inconsistent.

However at the beginning of the year, he made a resolution to himself to post consistently, he revamped his blog and went for it and barely 5 months on the line TheStreetHaute has made considerable progress, this just goes to show the power of consistency. When I asked him what made him come back to blogging he said and I quote;

“Blogging is a big deal!”

With style that he describes as defiant, experimental, modern and affordable (emphasis on affordable), he is fast becoming a force to reckon with among Ilorin fashion bloggers and in the country at large.

He picks inspiration from African bloggers like Grace Alex (@t2pitchy), Cassie Daves (@cassiedaves), Chidera(@theslumflower), Ifeoma (thesvnflwr), Sharon Mundia(@this_is_ess) and international bloggers Antonio (@o.ntonio), Kurt (@bloggers_boyfriend) and Jiawa Lui (@beigerenegade), my personal favorite!

We are positive of better things for this blogger and that is why SFT is proud to have him as our style Inspo for the week! You can find more about him on his blog; TheStreetHaute!
